June 19, 2024, NAIA Complex, Pasay City – The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) assures the public that the next scheduled round of maintenance activities for the upgrading of the NAIA Terminal 3 electrical systems was meticulously planned to ensure continuous operations, especially during peak hours.

In this next phase, the upgrade works are scheduled from today, June 19 to 21 with no or minimal effect to passenger and flight operations. The activities have been timed to occur after the last flight, away from peak hours of operations.

These maintenance activities include several functionality tests and safety integrations into the existing system, as well as termination procedures across eight different electrical substations in NAIA Terminal 3.

MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines assures stakeholders that gensets will supply temporary power to areas under maintenance work.

"All critical systems for continuous processing of passengers and flights will remain unhampered by the ongoing works," the airport chief said.
